Join Us in Central PA: A Celebration of Service, Community, and the Vote

Sign up today! Project HALO invites you to a special afternoon in the heart of Central Pennsylvania. Join Dickinson College President John E. Jones III, local veterans, and community leaders on Sunday, October 11th, from 3:00–6:00 p.m. near Carlisle for a celebration of our shared duties as American voters.

Set on a historic farm, the event brings together neighbors who care about service, civic life, duty, honor, and country. Enjoy a cookout featuring high-quality American beef, connect with fellow veterans and volunteers, and help us support every voter's right to be heard this Election Day.

Bring your family, bring your friends, and come celebrate what unites us.

Key Dates

  • Monday, October 19: General election voter registration deadline

  • Tuesday, October 27: Mail-in ballot applications due

  • Tuesday, November 3: Election Day, Polls are open on election day from 7 A.M. - 8 P.M.

Voting Requirements and Resources:

  • The first time you vote, you must bring a photo or non-photo ID.

  • Learn about the voting system in your county and see a demo of how it works.

  • Review the candidates and measures on the ballot and plan your votes in advance. You can find a sample ballot on your county election officewebsite.

  • Trusted community members who can show up with calm, care, and respect, including veterans, military families, faith leaders, legal professionals, local volunteers, and partner organizations.

  • Volunteers support community events, share trusted nonpartisan information, connect voters to official resources, and help create a positive environment around civic participation.

  • Project HALO volunteers do not campaign, interfere with voters, challenge eligibility, or act as security. The role is to support a safe, welcoming, and nonpartisan election environment.
