The Playbook: Celebrate Voting in Your Community

Voting is one of our most important shared American traditions. Americans want voting to feel clear and accessible.

Too often, the environment around elections feels uncertain, confusing, or tense instead. Communities can deliver something better: a welcoming, celebratory, nonpartisan presence around elections, so every voter feels safe, confident, and supported.

That is what this playbook is designed to help you create. Neighbors greeting neighbors. Flags, music, donuts, and a thank-you for voting. Together, we can celebrate voting and help every eligible voter participate with confidence.

WHO IS THIS FOR

This playbook is for any group that wants to bring this vision to its own community where Project HALO is not: a congregation, a veterans' post, a civic club, a local coalition. You do not need funding or permission from anyone to use it. It is a set of tools, not a set of rules. Take what fits your community and adapt the rest.

HOW TO USE THIS PLAYBOOK

Free to use.

This playbook and its templates are free to use, adapt, and reproduce.

The Project HALO name stays with us.

The Project HALO name and marks are not covered by that permission. They remain with Project HALO and its coalition partners.

Run it under your own name.

Groups that use this playbook run their events under their own name, without reference to Project HALO.

This playbook is a guide, not a partnership.

Using it doesn't make your group a Project HALO partner, chapter, or affiliate, and it isn't an endorsement by Project HALO or its coalition partners of your organization or its activities.
