Retired Federal Judge and Dickinson College President John E. Jones III Joins Project HALO as Pennsylvania Voters Head to the Polls
SOUTH CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA — Project HALO announced that John E. Jones III — President of Dickinson College and retired Chief Judge of the U.S. Middle District of Pennsylvania — has joined the initiative as Senior Advisor, bringing his credibility and his network to a growing national effort to make elections more welcoming.
Jones — appointed to the federal bench by President George W. Bush and unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate — brings to Project HALO a career defined by independence, institutional trust, and a deep commitment to the rule of law. His involvement reflects Project HALO’s core conviction that support for free and fair elections is not a partisan position.

Jones is joined by George Scott — a 20-year U.S. Army veteran, Lutheran pastor, and Adjunct Professor at Messiah University — who is leading Project HALO’s on-the-ground presence in south central Pennsylvania.

HALO is building a model for what it looks like when communities show up for voters. On May 19, Pennsylvania’s Primary Election Day, Project HALO will mark primary day with community celebrations at two polling locations in south central Pennsylvania.
