On May 3, 2026, Project HALO, Greater Cleveland Congregations (GCC), and a broad coalition of community partners including Ohioans for the Rule of Law, Buckeye Veterans Coalition, and Cleveland Votes, held a public celebration to bring neighbors together, support voters, and to highlight the role communities play in making elections accessible, welcoming, and trusted.

Key Dates
September 18: Military & overseas absentee voting began
October 5: Voter registration deadline (open until 9:00 p.m.)
October 6: Absentee voting by mail & early in-person voting begins
October 27: Last day to request an absentee ballot (must be received by your local board of elections by 8:30 p.m.)
November 1: Last day for early in-person voting at your local Board of Elections (1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
November 3: Primary Election Day (polls 6:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.); absentee ballots must be received by your local board of elections by 7:30 p.m.
Voting Requirements
Valid photo ID required: Ohio driver’s license, state ID, U.S. passport, military/VA ID
Provisional ballots are available if ID or registration needs verification; you must visit your county Board of Elections within four days after Election Day.
